Aicha is a high-school student who is more interested in kung fu than academics. Defying her parents strict rules, she begins to train secretly at a professional, co-ed kung fu club. There, she meets Emil, a boy who helps her train for the club championship, and soon wins her heart. As Aichas passion for fighting becomes complicated by family conflict and forbidden love, she discovers that the rules of life are not as clear cut as the rules of kung fu. A decent film about a Muslim girl who wants to train kung fu, but has a hard time in life. The final fight is decently filmed thanks to impressive slow motion and we get a nice feel for the moves. Otherwise, it’s more of a sports drama that I didn't find all that exceptional from other similarly themed films. 65%.
