Láska včera, dnes a zítra

Olga Sommerova mainly focuses her work on interpersonal relationships, as shown in her latest internationally awarded feature documentary Vera 68. With her daughter Olga Spatova, she has made Love Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Spatova is engaged in documentary making with the focus on social topics. This time-lapse film from The Likes of Love section is divided into two parts. Over the course of one year, each author uses her own methods to portray the development of relationships between couples and individuals with diverse attitudes to life and different aims. While Spatova fixes her attention on the relationships’ beginnings, when the state of being in love and mutual attraction play a significant part, Sommerova pictures love in its later stages, with people who are aware of the previous decisions they have made and that they have to live with. The documentary presents a wide range of the forms that love can take and thus provides an opportunity to reflect on the consequences of the individual decisions of the people portrayed.
