Woman Wanted

Hunter stars as Emma Riley, a New England housekeeper who comes to work for Professor Richard Goddard (Moriarty), a widower, and his grown son Wendell (Sutherland), an aspiring poet. All three characters suffer from a deep loneliness that they desperately yearn to fill: Emma, a divorcee, dreams of having a child, Richard misses his wife, and the tormented Wendell misses his mother and resents his father. Living in close quarters, Emma becomes an indispensable part of both men's lives, drawing them closer and helping to rebuild their shattered family through a surprising turn of events.
