Rosa la china

The entire country comes to a stand-still at the time of the siesta to listen to a radio soap opera which tells a gloomy tale of betrayal, of jealousy, of crime and of debauchery. It is the story of Dulzura, underworld boss and his wife Rosa, the Chinese woman, queen of the tropical nights. Rosa has an irresistible affair with Marcos, and Dulzura suspects that his wife is cheating on him. Arturo Mendizabal, a corrupt politician, has seduced Laura, Marcos’ sister. Marcos’ revenge is taking shape. From then on, in between songs and dances, delirious confrontations and fleeting meetings, the story of Marcos and Rosa, of Laura and Arturo, rushes on towards an ending which is both expected and feared by the faithful audience of the series.
