Flare and Flicker

This sour and melancholic film recalls a few days of a forty-year-old woman in a crisis. Teréz is always disciplined but feels depressed and aimless after her divorce. She finds her relationships empty, although her son, her mother and her female friend support her sympathetically. She looks at her forbearing environment and their rebellions with sarcasm. She plays the role of a lady in a scarlet dress, with a wig and a long cigarette-holder, but makes fun of this seeming stability with a bottle of vodka in her hand. She rejects an adolescent from the house discreetly, but soon finds support in the unfolding sincerity of her seemingly disagreeable boss. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)
