So This Is Washington

Lum (Chester Lauck) and Abner (Norris Goff), small town general store owners from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, are on their way to Washington D.C. to offer their invention of synthetic rubber to the U.S. Government. When Lum and Abner arrive at the nation's capital, they learn there's no room at the inn due to a war-time housing shortage, and they must make do with the city's available park benches. Shortly after becoming temporarily homeless, the hilarious twosome is reduced to grisly backwoods types who freely impart their prudent advice upon anyone and everyone who'll listen!
