Saluzzi - Ensayo para bandoneon y tres hermanos

‘Only those who can swim run the risk of drowning.’ This is how Argentinean bandoneon player and composer Saluzzi describes the solitary process of writing a piece of music. It is impossible to share the creative process with others. At the start of the film, Saluzzi is far from home, but always at home in his music. In black-and-white images, Argentinean director Daniel Rosenfeld - previously assistant-director to Alejandro de Agresti on Buenos Aires Vice Versa and El viento so llevó lo que - follows the bandoneon player on his European tour. He talks with him about his music, about the world around him and about his native country. Saluzzi uses the trip to make a new composition. Back home, the musician rediscovers the music, song and dance of his childhood, which are a permanent source of inspiration for him.
