Montecarlo!

The venerable building of the highschool has deteriorated beyond repair, the school is being closed. The two secret lovers, Makkosi and Annamari, a French teacher, discover that the man is able to anticipate the winning numbers. Thus they get imbued with the idea to try their luck in Monte Carlo by secretly borrowing the money collected for the camp in Ásványráró, and thereby to save the highschool. The principal, after some hesitation, gives in, and they set out for the great journey. In Monte Carlo, initially, everything is perfect, Makkosi's anticipations prove right. But the other two, overwhelmed by the prospect of great money, will not stop in time, and they lose all they have. A handsome Frenchman borrows Annamari's hand deemed lucky by him, and a few days later, heading for home in a luxury car, the girl takes up the two broken men from the ditch. (Budapest Film)
