Flesh for the Beast

In the film Flesh for the Beast, it's clear that it was made for enjoyment, that a group of people simply wanted to fulfill a small dream. The scenes are simplified, and the cuts are designed so that filming more complex sequences with special effects isn't too challenging, but as a whole, it works well. You can see the craftsmanship here. That doesn't apply to the storytelling skill, however, which is somewhat static; the film lacks the right dynamism but instead rides along at a leisurely pace. It's a shame about the horror moments that simply aren't scary. (13.02.2014)
