Max is an actor who returns to his hometown after separating from his wife and a career full of supporting roles. Now in his fifties, he is facing a new life in the locations where he spent his childhood. But forty years later, the once thriving mining area has become a very different landscape. His former schoolmates are now early mine retirees who hang around the town’s bars, and his father, an old man in his nineties, imposes strict rules of coexistence on him. In the middle of an emotional breakdown, Max will live an unusual love story with Piedad, an old woman from the theatre group of the pensioner’s home, which will make them the talk of the town.
