Esős vasárnap

A new teacher arrives at the secondary grammar school. The girls are all crazy for the handsome, blonde young man, except for the most excellent pupil, Balázs Ági. Yet Pali starts paying his attentions to no one else but her. Ági is getting acquainted with love. The team of girls is preparing for the competition "Searching for Talents" with a piece by Schumann. Olga, the most attractive woman in the class, is dating a photographer. She is trying to involve Erzsi in her adventures. Pali invites Ági up to his place, but she is frightened by a much too passionate kiss. The disappointed teacher runs to Olga, and she is willing to forget even about the competition for his sake. Yet Pali is in love with Ági. He apologises to her and tells her that Olga and he made love. Ági runs away in despair. Sunday afternoon. Ági is suffering at home, while Pali is waiting for her in the street in pouring rain. She does not ask him to come up, and he does not go up uninvited. Both are proud people.
