Kesän pitäisi olla paras ikinä. Tara, Skye ja Em lennähtävät Kreikkaan Malian saarelle viettämään kaikkien aikojen bileloman, juuri niin kuin jokaisen brittinuoren kuuluu aikuisuuden kynnyksellä tehdä. Tara, porukan viimeinen neitsyt, on ottanut missiokseen muuttaa reissun aikana kyseinen asiaintila ja hänen parhaat ystävänsä pistävät parastaan juoden ja tanssien kautta sotkuisten kuppiloiden ja nihkeiden yökerhojen. Ja ovathan siellä myös parvekenaapurit: kaverit, jotka voisivat tehdä Taran ja hänen ystäviensä kesästä ikimuistoisen. (Atlantic Film Fin.)

A sensitive film about the joy, anticipation and depth of disappointment that a teenage girl experiences while on holiday with her friends. Though at first glance it seems to be just another needless Netflix movie, it turns out to be an extraordinarily perceptive chamber drama due to the gradual revealing of the main protagonist’s emotional and psychological experience of events. Lead actress Mia McKenna-Bruce delivers a superb performance and, in particular, director Molly Manning Walker does an admirable job with her debut feature. [Cannes FF]

An enjoyable coming of age drama about three girls who go on holiday to enjoy the wild party life and one of them would like to lose her virginity. The actors are likeable, the film goes by quickly but I found it a bit ordinary; there are plenty of films like this and this one doesn't stand out too much, it's a little too explicit and wild for that, but it is entertaining. 6/10.
