Norwegian Dream

Robert moves from Poland to Norway to work in a salmon factory to earn money for himself and his mother. There he falls in love with Norwegian Ivar, a relationship he must keep hidden from the conservative Polish workers he works and lives with. When a strike breaks out among the workers at the factory, Ivar joins in and supports the Poles. Now Robert must choose between money or love. Norwegian Dream thematizes homosexuality in Scandinavia, and shows the broad spectrum in the Norwegian population. It is a beautiful and calm film about love and loneliness, with an outstanding performance by Hubert Miłkowski in the lead role. (The Norwegian International Film Festival)
