After Hatch Harrison gets into a horrible car accident, he's presumed dead until a brash doctor achieves a modern medical miracle by reviving him after almost two hours of unconsciousness. Harrison soon finds, however, that readjusting to the everyday world is extremely difficult. Ha! I read the book some time ago and I liked it (which very possibly was due to my uncritical age). The film adaptation of Hideaway is a bearable thriller, at least until the last few minutes, where it lost the third star I was ready to give it. That awful FX nonsense was just… nonsense.
