The Visitor from the Future

Alice (Enya Baroux) is an eco-activist fighting against the construction of a power plant, a project led by her own father. Her worst fears about a pending climate disaster are confirmed when a snarky, nameless time traveler (Florent Dorin) pays her a visit... with every intention of killing her dad. Instead, he takes both of them to the future — the year 2555 to be exact — to witness the aftermath of an explosion at that very same power plant that eradicates most of life on Earth. Future Earth sucks. It’s got zombies, no solid food, and a giant murder cloud of pollution that decimates any living thing that comes into contact with it. Oh, and the Time Police are hot on their tail. Confronted with the very real consequences of their decisions, Alice and her father will need to decide how to move forward. Do they sacrifice themselves for the good of mankind, or do they set the world on the path of destruction? (Fantastic Fest)
