El filandón

You can hear the wind whistling. The image opens out over a wide valley, in the centre of which is a chapel. The chapel bell begins to ring, as if moved by the wind. The chapel’s caretaker, attracted by the incessant ringing, approaches the sanctuary and notices that the bell is ringing on its own accord. The waters of the river, which springs in the same place, are the colour of blood... Although it is a phenomenon that occurs very rarely, he knows its meaning: the Saint is asking them to come and tell him stories and tales; the Saint is summoning the ‘filandón’.
