Tucked away deep in the mountains in his secret laboratory, an eccentric scientist is hard at work on a new invention. Using the sun as a power source, Professor Farrington's "VXO Accumulator" promises to create infinite energy. But before the professor can unveil his scientific masterpiece to the world, he is abducted from his secret laboratory, and his colleague, Judge Folger, is strangled by a mysterious killer.
