This is a story of the Bark Family. It is the story of a mother and her two grown-up daughters and their father, who has consistently gambled away his wife's fortune and left the family in despair. The film is based on a play by Anne Charlotte Leffler, written 100 years ago. It might remind you of The Doll's House, but Berta is not like Nora, who pack her bag and escapes from home.
