The story centers on the lives of four cello students, Natasha, Oleg, Mark, and Margo. On the eve of the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Competition, their elderly mentor dies suddenly and the unpredictable and paradoxical Konstantin Bagritsky becomes their new boss. The new "chief" fundamentally changes the lives of children, seeking to release their creative energy. He uncovers their complexes, provokes them to do extraordinary things, but at the same time, he sinks into depression. At the same time, the guys fall on the popularity of their viral video, resulting in different temperament and character students join together in a quartet.
