The Man on the Wall

Kabe lives in East Berlin and wants to get to the West. One day, he just starts walking toward the border, gets arrested and stuck in psychiatric care. One year later, he is ransomed by West Germany and arrives in the West, but finds himself homesick for the East. Once he gets back there, he misses the West again. And so forth. Kabe becomes a restless wanderer between the worlds, between the two parts of Germany. He only manages to free himself from this split personality by a deed that proves prophetic. (Filmfest München)
